Monday Musings....
How come it always is when I have too much to do my body quits on me?!? Anyway more later... don't feel well enough to write right now.

Friday Fusion!!!!!
Can I tell you that I'm love, LOVE, LOVING teaching my classes at the Rec Ctr!!!???!! It's awesome, it's wonderful... every Friday I love deciding what to do and sit back and enjoy watching the moms and kids have fun. it gives me so much satisfaction watching them knowing that I facilitated that experience for them and exploring the world around them. For those of you who don't know, I teach a little mom n me class called Art is Fun on Fridays (soon to be switching to Thurs), and a pre-pre-nursery school for 2 yo's called Toddler Time on Tues & Thurs with Karen Kapoor and Diane.
AIF is totally exploratory and sensory, with usually 3-4 things for the parent to make with thier kid. Today, they painted with kitchen utensils, made a Native American hat with feathers, a cornacopia and free painted at the easel. We usually start off with a book or a fingerplay... today it was Farmer Brown's Pumpkins finger play with the mitt and 'Brown Bear, Brown Bear.' There is always playdo and a sensory table to have fun with ... right now it's filled with different shaped pasta and spiders.
Toddler Time, well that is equally as satisfying... just in a different way. What a blessing it is to have found Karen to teach this with (funny story there!) because we each bring to the class our strengths, which meld into the children receiving as much education and fun we can squeeze into 1 1/2 hours! And it's a win-win situation bc the mom get to do something for themselves at the Ctr like yoga or Zumba while their kids are at 'school.' Karen's gifts of teaching Montessori 'work' and structure to play and knowledge of songs perfectly compliments mine in teaching meeting time (concepts and calendar) as well, of course, ART! Love seeing the growth fo knowledge and independance, self esteem in knowing they 'did' it!
This is what I was born to do... one of MANY things, oh you dont know what creativity is waiting to explode out of me... so many things!!! Life is good.

Monday Morning Musings...
This is my first ever blog and I'm really excited to be blogging. I'm going to try to post at least 1x a week, hopefully more, but I don't want to burn myself out. Got so much on my plate as it is, but I think this will be a worthwhile outlet!
Read this over the weekend:

This spoke to me because I get really caught up in the 'why' of things, people, events... it reminds me that it really doesn't matter 'why' as long as I'm ok in the universe, in the moment of NOW. Reminds me to be in the present, not the past or the future. Now is all that really matters! If I keep on asking why, I'm just spinning my wheels, wasting my energy in a negative way. "Whying is dying" it goes on to say - how true!
The only being who needs to know why is my Creator... faith is knowing He is looking out for you and you don't need to know the why. All I need to be concerned with is the 'how.' Keep on doing... it should say "Howing is Living." Ohhh, even better, just thought of this: "H(onest)O(pen)W(illing) is LIVING!!! Love this... gonna make something up in my house n post to remind me!
